My story
My name is Bara. I am a ceramic artist, craftswoman, and researcher working at the intersection of material, body, landscape, and traditional craft.
Alongside pottery, I work with sheep wool and sheepskins, natural tanning techniques, and experimental textile projects. My practice explores how making by hand can reconnect us with the living world and the materials that surround us.
Everything I offer is made slowly, in small quantities, with attention to process, durability, and the stories carried by natural materials.

My pottery is made in small batches using local volcanic rock from around the hill Bořeň in the North of Czech Republic where I live.
This material gives each piece a raw, textured surface and natural variation in color and feel. It's basically a stone that awakened in the kiln and became lava again!
Everything is made and sculpted slowly by hand — no molds, no shortcuts. That means each cup or bowl is unique and has its own character. It's all inspired by the wild landscape of the Ore Mountains.
You’re not just buying pottery — you’re getting a functional piece of earth, piece of my world that I pour a whole heart into.
Because of the unique character of the pottery, the best way to choose your favourite piece is personally on event that I am part of regulary, and most people prefer this option. However, if you contact me directly, I will send you what is currently available and If you decide to purchase something, I am happy to arrange shipping worldwide individually!
Hand washing is best, especially for pieces with raw volcanic surfaces. Avoid using abrasive sponges. All pieces are strong enough for daily use!
Dishwasher use is possible, but I still recommend the hand care.
